About Our Team
Each School in the district has a site-based management team that meets on a regular basis. Each team focuses on issues directly related to student learning and social, emotional, and academic success. Teams are encouraged to be innovative and to consider what will work best for the students of their own school. Naturally, decisions must be within certain limits which respect such external factors as collective bargaining agreements, district policies, regulations, curriculum guidelines, and federal and state mandates.

In order to ensure that all team members have an equal voice and equal decision-making power, team decisions are reached not by majority rule, but by consensus through which members may state that they were part of – and can live with – the decision, and will not only support he decision, but do what they can to make it work.

Each team consists of administrators, teachers, support staff members, parents, a community member, and , at the high school, students. (At the junior high schools, students may be apart of the team at the discretion of its member is defined in the district plan.
