The Global Language Department is excited to inform you that we will be celebrating the study of Global Languages the week of January 9^, 2012.  We will be organizing and hosting many activities in which our students can participate.  We will have a door decorating, trivia and poster contest.  Students in the 9^th grade honors program will be visiting 7^th grade Intro classes of another language to teach basic expressions and culture.  Members of the Global Language Honor Society will be hosting free classes after school for our current 5^th and 6^th graders. In addition, we would like to invite students and families to our 4^th Annual International Night on Friday, January, 13^th, 2012.  The festivities begin at 6p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Murphy cafeteria. Tickets are $7 and will be sold during Global Language classes.

1. Communication Skills:
Students will be able to use a language other than English for communication.

2. Cultural Understanding:
Students will develop cross-cultural skills and understandings.
